German’s church
Built since 1551 and
finished in 1562. It is late Gothic style ; initially church, then dedicated
to the Protestant worship.
Louis 13 restored Catholicism in 1620.
In February 1790, Navarrenx was selected as prefecture of the Department
before its migration to Pau.
The current bell-tower was added in the 19 century. To look at pilgrims’s
heads on the pillars and the tables offered by Napoleon III.
The church is classified.
